electricity would not be a problem if......

Bookmark and Share

Electricity became a big problem for me whenever I start writing something on my personal computer… I am a student of a world class university but unfortunately I can’t prepare my assignments and presentations in time, due to load shedding… Sometimes I can’t even press my dresses to wear and to go to university… that are my personal problems and very little problems but if we think about our country’s industries and businesses that are destroying due to the shortage of electricity, this is very big problem and our country’s budget is getting down due to this… and now the cotton industry is shifting in Bangladesh. We as the citizens should avoid the extra usage of electricity and govt. should do something to save our country…

Electricity would not be a big problem if we use and generate it with planning…. There are many ways to produce electricity e.g. solar energy plants, atomic energy plants, wind mills and water dams…. By small solar energy plants everyone can easily produce electricity for his house. But the problem is that if govt. allows everyone to produce his own electricity than what will WAPDA do and from where thousands of employees working in WAPDA will get pays…??

I have a suggestion about this issue… solar energy production is very easy way to produce electricity... If govt. allows this just to the industrial sector, universities, and big govt. offices and for street lights, and general public use the electricity produced by WAPDA than there would be no shortage of it… this is one solution that is going on my mind but there would be so many solutions to reduce load shedding… but don’t know why govt. fails...???

I WANT AN ENTERTAINING MEDIA

Bookmark and Share
The secret of success is not doing as everyone does; success is often measured by what others have not done.
I want to write an article which has a unique style and touching words. When I tried to write something there were many thoughts in my mind and my mind was just got blanked…. At that time I got a quotation as a text message shown above, and I decided to start my writing with the quotation. First of all I thought that I should apply this quotation in my writing than I would be able to say what I want… As a student of mass communication and media I would like to write something about our media, what students have been learning and what we should do?
In my last class, my teacher asked me, after getting the degree of BS (hons) in mass communication and media, what you will do? In which department of media you would like to serve your talent? I answered “entertainment”. My teacher said me oh that’s too much difficult job, why do you select entertainment? I said; I want to do something different .He said; to get people entertained, an artist has to make him deadish and he cannot generate that much money as well… I just smiled and said; sir this is the thing that I want to change in our media, everyone trying to generate more and more revenue but no one even wants to think about the people who are affected by their messages and information that they are publishing or broadcasting in their respective channels… The information on media is just caused to create depression among public… When we talk about entertainment, in our media entertainment shows just having topics about politics and meaning of entertainment is to make fun of government, ministers, and politicians etc…
I think we should bring a change in media. The students and teachers of media studies can play a healthy roll in changing this situation. The purpose of communication studies is not only to write columns and to edit news items but there should be a section in which students can learn, how to make literary dramas, films that have motivational and positive messages, and T.V shows which contains healthy activities. Media should not present our country as a problematic state but it should play some shows that will promote our culture, norms and values. There should be special programs for those people, who have talent but they do not have sources to show their talent… The success of our country is depended upon the success of media and to get succeed, we have to change it... There should be more entertainment than the harsh information, by which public will come out from frustration and depression, so there would be a healthy and peaceful environment in our country.
